Description
Bild Lilli Chair 1950’s
The chair was inspired by the well known butterfly-chair (Design Jorge in 1938, C. 1947-1975 Knoll Associates). The chair sling seat was made of solid, stamped plastic material. The steel frame was enameled. Colors: baby-blue, white, light-pink, red with a flower pattern inside material, dark blue with white dots. Copies of the butterfly-chair were made also by the swedish firm Gemla. They had different colors and they were made of lighter fabric material in large and small versions, possibly made for Hong Kong Lillis. This one chair is an original’ Lilli chair and is absolutely rare. Pictured on page 61 in the Knaak book. The chair is in EC with some paint chips on the structure. The cover is EC/NM.
