This is a Number 5 Brunette Barbie doll. Her hair is amazingly thick and long. She has her top original band and all of the bottom band. She has thick black bangs! This doll is really beautiful and has no touch ups on her big red”Lucy Lips” lips. She has pink coloring and full dark brows. She wears her repro pearl earrings and there is NO green anywhere. She wears a C/M EMPRESS BRIDE, the holiest of holy grails. She has her original cello with JE booklet and accessories in BOOKLET which include a one of a kind booklet, black stand with Barbie written in gold, an never produced before plastic fan with satin strings, Skippers head band with flowers, and gold wedgies. I know for sure she only belonged to one very famous collector and that is why she looks brand new! Everything about her is outstanding and mint including her perfect wrist tag!
This doll was made by Mattel for the wedding of the Emperor and Empress of Japan. She comes in a RARE Pink “TM” Silhouette Box in EC shape for it’s age. The box is also very sturdy and end flaps are both there. The Pink Silhouette box was used to transfer dressed dolls to stores for display purposes only. Since this was not a sales item, some of the boxes were discarded. Many seasoned dealers and collectors state the prettiest dolls were hand picked for display purposes to enhance sales. To find these dolls like this is extraordinarily rare. Her box states #101, Pat 139119. A doll of this nature only comes around once in a lifetime! They say that only five of these we ever produced!
