Wayne Nilson 4 Panel Barbie Art Masterpiece
The 4 panels are part of his Digitized Diva collection. There are 4 paintings total in the collection. These 4 are: Key Lime, 219C, Noir and Blueberry. It is acrylic on canvas. The blueberry piece has the signature and date. It is a rare one of a kind designer artist piece. It is Barbie and Art combo.
Here is what Wayne wrote about the art collection he curated:
Over the past 59 years, Barbie’s image has been omnipresent. She is all around us. Certainly, she’s a huge selling child’s toy, pop culture icon, and valued collectible, but she also has a more subliminal influence through color, pattern and image. I hope that the works I am presenting here give pause to reflect on the impact she’s had on our collective consciousness as well as celebrate her 60th year.
Wayne did it for art gallery 21 in Wilton Manors. The exhibit was for Barbie’s 60th birthday. The exhibit was displayed from March 9 to April 6 2019. The grand gala was Saturday March 9th.
There are 4 panels. Each panel is 30 inches across and 40 inches top to bottom. The panels are designed to bolt together two on bottom two on top to be displayed. They each have hangers on them so could be hung as 4 separate pieces down a long hallway.
